Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends, Dear Congress Participants,

The Algerian Society of Pulmonology (SAP) is very pleased to welcome you in Algiers on November 14 and 15, 2025, for its Third National Congress of Pulmonology, held jointly with the First Congress of the Arab Association of Chest Physicians (AACP).

This edition is centered on the theme: “Environment and Lungs”, a highly relevant topic in light of the growing impact of air pollution, climate change, and the deterioration of air quality on the respiratory health of populations.

The simultaneous organization of these two congresses offers an exceptional opportunity to broaden scientific perspectives, strengthen professional and institutional ties among pulmonologists, researchers, and policymakers across the region, foster the development of sustainable partnerships, and optimize resources and learning opportunities. Participants will benefit from a rich and diverse scientific program covering a wide range of respiratory health topics.

These themes will be addressed through lectures delivered by both national and international speakers and further enriched by presentations on the latest advances in the management of respiratory diseases. Other topics—covering diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to various respiratory conditions, based on clinical cases, the experience of different medical teams, and the latest recommendations—will be presented through oral communications, workshops, poster sessions, and symposia.

As every year, the SAP will honor two national figures who have significantly contributed to the development of pneumology in Algeria with the Pierre Chaulet Prize and the Djilali Larbaoui Prize, as well as award the Abdenacer Nehal Prize for the best scientific poster presentation.
