President’s Editorial

The Arab Association of Pulmonologists (AACP) is a scientific medical body established in the Arab world under the umbrella of the Arab Medical Union. Its mission is to foster collaboration among pulmonology specialists across Arab countries and to advance the specialty both scientifically and clinically. The association brings together pulmonologists, medical associations, and organizations dedicated to respiratory diseases, with its headquarters located in the host country of the Arab Medical Union. The AACP works to disseminate knowledge and exchange expertise among pulmonologists in the Arab world, contributing to the advancement of medical services through scientific research, education, and collaborative initiatives. Its vision is to become the leading scientific reference for pulmonologists in the Arab region by achieving excellence in medical education, research, and awareness in the field of respiratory medicine. To achieve these goals, the association seeks to strengthen collaboration and fellowship among Arab pulmonologists, facilitate the exchange of information and research through conferences, seminars, and scientific publications, and contribute to public awareness, prevention, and early diagnosis of respiratory diseases while maintaining active participation in regional and international scientific forums. It also supports the development of curricula for teaching pulmonology in Arab medical schools, revives the Arab medical heritage related to respiratory diseases, and encourages young physicians to engage in research by offering training opportunities both within and outside the Arab world.
